Beschreibung
Der Leutnant Colonel John Henry Antes Junior (1736 - 1820) Pioneer der Kolonisation Amerikas, ein Freund von Conrad Weiser. Sein wichtigstes Projekt war die Erbauung des Flüchtlingscamps, des 'refuge stockade' Fort Antes am Westufer des Susquehanna Rivers in Pennsylvania. "The fort was abandoned when officials at Fort Augusta (present Sunbury, PA) refused to support resistance against the Indians in the midst of the struggle with the British, leading to the abandonment of the territory by white settlers.
